I highly recommend Ann Zappa’s novel, Time and Chance Happen to Them All. This book is a “good read” that will appeal to anyone who is looking for a well-told story about full-bodied, likeable REAL people. The reader becomes personally involved in the adventures and challenges faced by Kathryn Currie, who struggles to free herself from what she sees as tethers put into place by an ambitious and controlling husband.

Time and Chance Happen to Them All was especially interesting to me because, as the friend on which “Winifred” was based, I shared in the real-life happenings depicted in the novel and knew and loved the people on which other characters were based. The complexity of this novel—especially Kathryn’s development over time—will be extremely interesting to a wide variety of readers.

It was a real treat to reunite with my sister, Ann Zappa, 2 years ago at my mother's 89th birthday party and catching up on years of memories and making new ones. I haven't seen Ann and her son Brooks and daughter Cynthia since I was 6 years old and living in Lancaster, where they visited my family.
Now we've both written books, mine about my family called "My Brother Was A Mother: A Zappa Family Album" (california classics books - publisher- and available on Amazon.com) and Ann's books "Time and Chance Happen to Them All" and "Fantasy of a Gentleman". We both hope that when you read our books that you will enjoy them.
